The challenge was to refresh a product category that everyone has seen before. Suede sneakers are familiar. Cariuma’s were simply better. The opportunity was to make people feel something before they think about function.

Our insight was that the most powerful product memories begin in fragile, passing moments. The soft shift between seasons. The warmth of suede against cooler air. The tiny spark of recognition when a stranger walks by wearing the shoes you have been thinking about. That moment of connection turns a practical choice into an emotional one.

The Fall Suede Edit captured these flitting moments with slow light, tactile texture and scenes that feel like memories forming in real time. It grounded the product in a human truth. People fall in love with how something makes them feel, not just how it performs.

This emotional foundation opened the path into Wander Maps. Once you notice the world more closely, you begin to collect it. Places, objects and small encounters become emotional territories. The suede story taught people to look for these moments. Wander Maps gave them a way to name them.
